The past two weeks have been nothing but shoveling snow ...at least that's what it feels like! Whereas December hardly had any snow, January appears to break all records - heh!
A friend of mine made me aware that Norwegian - even though it's a fairly poor language when it comes to vocabulary - has a unique term that apparently no other language truly covers - the word: "Dugnad". I find it hard to believe, but I wanted to check if there's anyone that knows. The dictionary translates it with "voluntary communal work". Got any input?
